Three persons who want to be registered as candidates for the presidency are waiting for the members of the special commission for the election of the President in the Agriculture Ministry’s hall. Gheorghe Batca, John Onoje and Boris Eriomenko said they want to be elected head of state so as to help Moldova become prosperous, clean and European, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Boris Eriomenko, 53, from Chisinau works as a guard at the Railway Terminal. He said that he wants to become President so as to force the Russian army out of the Transnistrian region and promote Moldova’s union with Romania. “We must have a prosperous country and decent salaries so that we depend on nobody,” said Boris Eriomenko. He is a Russian speaker, is married and has three children. The special medical commission approved of his candidacy, but he does not have the signatures of at least 15 MPs in his support, as the law requires.
Lyricist Gheorghe Batca, 65, is a member of the Composers Union. “I want to transform Moldova into a heavenly place for this dejected people. My platform will be aimed at restoring the flora and fauna and at exploring the Codri forest,” he told the journalists. As Boris Eriomenko, Gheorghe Batca does not have lawmakers’ signatures, but hopes to get them by 5pm, when it is the deadline for submissions.
Moldovan citizen of African origin John Onoje, 53, aims to settle the Transnistrian dispute, fight the mafia, bring Moldova closer to the EU and promote the union with Romania. He does not have the MPs’ support either.
