The third person who died in the accident that occurred near Vinnitsa in Ukraine is a man aged 24. In the evening of February 8, the General Inspectorate for Emergencies confirmed the identity of the other two killed persons – a woman aged 26 and a man aged 44, IPN reports.
Officers of the Inspectorate travelled to Ukraine to perform the procedures for repatriating the bodies. These will be brought to Moldova today, February 9.
The four persons who were hurt in the accident - two women aged 28 and 54 and two men aged 24 and 33 - remain under medical supervision at the Clinical Hospital No. 2 in Vinnitsa and their state of health is stable.
The Government of Moldova announced it will cover the costs associated with the repatriation of the Moldovans killed in the accident.
Pictures of the scene posted by an Ukrainian portal show the minibus with a registration number of Ungheni crashed into a truck parked by the roadside. The minibus was heading for the Russian Federation and had 12 passengers aboard. The accident happened at about 3:50am on February 8.
