Third meeting of Cooperation Platform on Moldova-EU Mobility Partnership held in Chisinau

The third meeting of the Cooperation Platform on the EU-Moldova Mobility Partnership is taking place today in Chisinau. The event is a working meeting centering on subjects related to the implementation of the Mobility Partnership projects at the Moldovan-European level and the prospects of updating the Partnership, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Mass Media and Public Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. The meeting is attended by a delegation of the European Commission and representatives of the EU member states as well as delegates of the national institutions involved in the implementation of the Mobility Partnership. The Joint Statement on the Mobility Partnership signed on June 5, 2008 aims to strengthen cooperation in the areas of migration and development, prevention and combating of illegal migration and trafficking in human beings, and to promote the policy on the readmission and return of citizens, the Foreign Ministry says.
