Those who like fish are invited to the third edition of the Fish Festival that will take place at the stadium of CS Noroc-Nimoreni in Nimoreni village of Ialoveni district on May 13, starting at 10am. The visitors could taste traditional fish dishes made on the spot according to traditional recipes and to buy fresh fish caught in local ponds.
Contacted by IPN, the event’s organizer Natalia Eremia said the goal of the Fish Festival is to promote fish consumption and to keep the culinary traditions of indigenous fishermen.
Folk music ensembles and folk and pop music singers will perform at the festival. Those who will want will be able to take part in handicraft workshops and contests. There will be set up a recreational park for children and an area of creation workshops.
The visitors can come to the festival with personal transport, as there will be provided a free parking lot, by minibuses running on route No. 145 or by the Nimoreni-Chisinau minibus service available from the Central Market of Chisinau. There will be put up over 300 tables with 1,200 chairs and also straw bales.
The fish soup could be tasted free. The other types of food could be bought, but the organizers assure the prices will be reasonable.
