Thefts constitute most of offenses committed by minors

The police this year reported 30 offenses committed by minors, including 23 thefts and one drug-related offense, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the head of the Ministry of the Interior's press office Chiril Motpan, 1,231 delinquent minors had been inspected at home as part of an operation titled “Care”. A number of 136 minors forming part of the risk group were placed under supervision. The police opened 735 administrative cases after discovering violations at different recreational places and cybercafes, including against 153 parents who did not fulfill their parental obligations. There were drawn up 23 reports over the sale of tobacco and alcoholic products to persons younger than 18. Also, the police identified 137 children who were begging. Many of them were under the influence of alcohol. Twenty-one offenses have been committed against children this year. Five of them were sexual offenses.
