President Igor Dodon argues that, as far as the justice reform is concerned, a new concept must be developed, as the case may be, which should be forwarded to the Venice Commission by the end of next week. Introducing the new minister, Fadei Nagacevschi, to the team of the Ministry of Justice, the head of state has stressed that the task is very ambitious and not at all simple, IPN reports.

"If necessary, there should be developed a new concept for the justice reform that should be sent to the Venice Commission by the end of next week, so that in December we would have a positive opinion from the Venice Commission, and based on this opinion, in the second half of December, the Parliament has to pass these draft laws. Also, the situation regarding the competition for the position of Prosecutor General has to be clarified. We have to overcome this bottleneck," stated Igor Dodon, quoted in a press release of the Ministry of Justice.

Prime Minister Ion Chicu has mentioned that the judiciary reform is a priority in the Government's activity. "We have full confidence that the existing potential of the Ministry of Justice allows us to advance in terms of justice sector reform," the prime minister noted.

In his turn, the Minister of Justice, Fadei Nagacevschi, has said that he is open to carrying out the justice reform together with the ministry team. "My primary objective is to strengthen the team of the Ministry of Justice, so that we can work together efficiently and quickly in order to obtain excellent results in implementing the justice sector reform," stated the minister.

Fadei Nagacevschi is a lawyer by profession. He held the position of advisor to the Speaker of Parliament, the leader of the Socialist Party, Zinaida Greceanîi. He was also the lawyer of the party.
