The secretariat of the strategic committee for sustainable development will start its activity in several days

The secretariat of the Strategic Committee for Sustainable Development of the Chisinau Municipality will start its activity in few days. Abut this declared the Chisinau interim Mayor, Vasile Ursu, quoted by Info-Prim Neo, at the first meeting of the committee which gathers the representatives of the business environment, of the social society and municipality. According to Ursu, the composition of the secretariat was already confirmed and it will have an office at the first floor of the City Hall having the task to gather and systemize the problems, opinions and proposals formulated by citizens in designing the General Urban Plan (PUG) of the Chisinau municipality. Ursu said that the lack of Chisinau PUG creates problems to Mayoralty and generates losses, in the context when demolishes are performed, constructed without taking into consideration even the old Urban Plan, approved in 1989. For example, the Mayoralty will have to pay the expenditures of about economic agents which started the works in the Circus region, where will be constructed the Central Stadium. The Mayors of the municipality, presents at the meeting of the Committee solicited that at the elaboration of PUG to take into consideration also the suburbs. At the moment, at the first level of PUG elaboration, 3 documents are proposed to examination: social-economic strategy, the organization set-up of transport in the central region, and the rules on the intervention in the central region. The next meeting of the strategic committee will take place on Friday, June 2.
