The second round of the presidential election, scheduled for November 3, was set by CEC

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has set November 3 as the date for the second round of the presidential election, which will be contested between PAS candidate Maia Sandu and PSRM candidate Alexandr Stoianoglo, who received the highest number of votes in the first round. Additionally, during today's session, the CEC approved the text and format of the ballot. The ballots will be printed according to the previously established print runs by the commission. The voting process will be based on the same electoral lists as in the first round, reports IPN.

At the same time, the CEC has centralized the voting results across the country for the election held on Sunday, October 20. The protocol includes the number of voters registered on the main lists — 2.7 million — and on supplementary lists — 312,650. A total of 18,400 ballots were declared invalid. The protocol also outlines the results obtained by each candidate for the presidency:

  1. Alexandr Stoianoglo, PSRM – 401,215 valid votes
  2. Maia Sandu, PAS – 656,852 votes
  3. Renato Usatîi, Our Party – 213,169 votes
  4. Vasile Tarlev, Party for the Future of Moldova – 49,316 votes
  5. Irina Vlah, independent candidate – 83,193 votes
  6. Ion Chicu, Party of Consolidation and Development – 31,797 votes
  7. Andrei Năstase, independent candidate – 9,946 votes
  8. Octavian Țîcu, Electoral Bloc "Together" – 14,326 votes
  9. Victoria Furtună, independent candidate – 68,768 votes
  10. Tudor Ulianovschi, independent candidate – 7,995 votes
  11. Natalia Morari, independent candidate – 9,444 votes

The total number of valid votes cast was 1,546,031.
