The Political Party “The Right” was renamed the National Unity Party (PUN) in the party’s Extraordinary Congress of June 11. The Congress also elected Anatol Salaru as president. Ana Gutu vacated the post of the party’s president and was elected as first vice president, IPN reports.
In a press release, the party says the decisions adopted in the Congress were agreed as a result of negotiations with the initiative group of the National Unity Party and representatives of The Right. They were taken with the aim of avoiding bureaucracy and of reunifying the unionist movement in the Republic of Moldova.
