The Mayoralty will announce an auction for the construction of the Ciocana’s „District nr.9”

The Mayoralty of Chisinau is to announce in short-time an international auction for appointing the businessman to hold the right of building the “District nr.9” in Ciocana sector of Chisinau. The General interim Mayor, Vasile Ursu, declared for Info-Prim Neo that this district will be located near the last trolleybus station on the Mircea cel Batran blvd and will have an area of 25 hectares. The winner will have the commitment to construct in the district besides dwelling places also social-economic and cultural edifices - stores, schools, kindergartens etc. Ursu announced that he already knows 3-4 firms that are interested in this project, but he considers that at the time the auction will be announced more investors will appear. The Mayoralty is expecting to obtain at least 10 million dollars for the right to build the “District nr.9”. These resources are very necessary for the city and will be directed primordially for designing the districts, reconstruction of the roadways, repairing of the education institutions, and summer resorts for children. At the same time, the Mayor says that the interested firms guarantee that they will construct “social” dwellings (for young families, old persons etc.), approximate 10 % of those 22 thousand apartments. The prices for “social” apartments will be much lower than for apartments sold at market prices. Ursu thinks that the big number of constructed apartments in the new district will influence the estate market of Chisinau and will reduce the price for a square meter of living space.
