The increase of the wages to teachers needs additional allocations of the municipal budget of 770 million lei

The increase, starting 1 December 2005, of the teachers’ salary with 30-50% needs additional allocations of the municipal budget of 770 million lei. The head of the General Education, Science, Youth and Sport Department, Alexandru Roman, said during the operative meeting of the mayoralty that he implemented the decision of the government to increase the salary, paying recently, the increased wages for last months. In this sense there was taken money of the account of next months, as the municipal budget for this year did not included additional allocations for salary increase, Roman said. In order to cover the gaps remained in the budget of the department there are necessary 60 million lei, plus 17 millions for tax fund, that Chisinau Municipal Council shall allot. The interim mayor, Vasile Ursu, required that the decision draft regarding the allocation of additional sources to be discussed at one of the next meetings of the municipal council, requiring as well the schedule of repairs of the educations institutions, for its implementation being necessary big money. The municipal budget for this year represents to income item 1,226 billion lei, and to matter expenses 1,253 billion lei, the deficit being of 27 million lei.
