The festival of Culinary Art gathered more than 100 participants

Over 100 enterprises from Moldova, which activate in the area of public administration, inclusively technologic equipments: plates and dishes, uniforms, beverages, accessories, tea and coffee etc., distributors are present at the third edition of the Culinary Art Festival. The event is to take place, from May 24 to 26, in the European Room of the National Hotel. During these 3 days, 2 “master-class” rooms will function, where 5 international class cooks from Russia, Ukraine and Romania will present different receipts for the pastry cooks of Moldova. The chairman of the Association of Cooking Art, Simeon Boran, declared that at the opening that the goal of the festivity is to contribute to the development of the culinary and to the professional improvement of the cooks from Moldova, according to some tendencies in the area. As well, the goal of the organizers is to create a new attitude about cooking food in Moldova, promoting “culinary hits” and new techniques. The festival is organized for managers and specialists employed in restaurants, bars, cafes, night clubs, and hotels and distributing companies, for specialists directly involved in the development of the resting and amusement industry. Present at the event, the leader of the parliamentary faction of the communists, Eugenia Ostapciuc, declared that she welcomes the initiative, especially for the rehabilitation of the good name of the public alimentation area. She mentioned that at present the professionalism in the area diminished. “Many enterprises work exclusively for profit, thus the quality of food and the hygiene are neglected”. According to her, the central authorities will implement a complex action plan for straightening of the situation, inclusively by creating a National Center of the Culinary Art. The participation fee at the “master-class” presentations is of 115 USD. The members of the association for culinary art will pay only a half of the cost and as well the representative of the education institutions from the area. The collected taxes will be used for reducing the expenses of the organizers, who paid big honoraries for the international masters. For example these kinds of presentations abroad cost 25 euros for 2 hours. At the festivity the participants will have the possibility to watch all the “master-class” presentations during three days. The official sponsor of the event is the “Dina Cociug” company which promotes new technologies for the alimentary area on the Moldovan market.
