The decision of training the national committee on monitoring the external assistance given to Moldova was approved

The cabinet approved on Wednesday, 1 march, the decision to create the National Committee on monitoring the external assistance allocated to Moldova. According to decision draft, now the position of national coordinator of attracting and coordinating external technical assistance is instituted to the Ministry of Economics and Commerce, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. Îin these conditions, in the opinion of project’s authors, it is created the situation of dividing the information or doubling the activity between this institutions. On the other hand, this is as well a request of the donator countries aiming to make the assistance more effective. The National Committee on external assistance will have the attribution to link the technical assistance programs and to explore the problems regarding their implementation. In 2005, in Moldova there were organised 196 technical assistance projects, 50 of them were launched in 2005, having an estimative budget of 28,5 million dollars. 31 of them were implemented in the social sector, 23 – in institutional development field, 13 – in agriculture sector and rural development, 19 had as goal the private sector, 8 – reform of the juridical sector and 10 of health care sector.
