The commission on organised the events of celebrating 15 years since the independence of Moldova was created

President of Moldova Vladimir Voronin ordered creation of the State Commission on organising the events dedicated to the 15-th anniversary since the independence of Moldova, according to presidency report. As chairman of the Commission, according to the decree, was appointed Vladimir Voronin, and as members are the ex-presidents Mircea Snegur and Petru Lucinschi, current chairman of the parliament Marian Lupu, deputies, ministers, representatives of the local public administration, people of culture and art. The state commission will draft and approve the program of actions dedicated to celebrating 5 since the independence of Moldova. Government and authorities of local public administration will support the state commission for organising its activity. Moldova declared its independence on 27 August 1991.
