Only today and tomorrow, the legal and natural entities can still submit declarations on the incomes obtained in 2008 and pay the due taxes, if any. Procopie Duca, the deputy chief of the State Tax Service (STS) said that on March 30 and 31, the territorial tax services would have a prolonged work schedule and would receive declarations from all tax payers who would come to submit them, Info-Prim Neo reports. Duca has specified that, for now, the number of legal entities having submitted declarations on income is smaller, compared to the same date of last year, and the number of natural persons is a little bigger. “It is possible that some of company chiefs consider that apply the 0 quota on the undistributed tax of the companies starts on January 1, 2008 and that it spares them from submitting declarations. It is not correct. Irrespective of the taxing quota, the legal persons are obliged to submit declarations on income,” the STS deputy chief stated. He reminded that no document confirming the incomes obtained from different sources are needed. The tax payer is responsible for the accuracy of the data registered in the declarations. Duca urged all tax payers – legal and natural entities – to present the declarations in due time, until March 31. All the Territorial Tax Services from districts and municipalities will work today and tomorrow till 19.00.
