The term for hunting boars has been reduced from five months to 68 days. The hunting season will last between October 24 and December 31, Info- Prim Neo reports.
The hunting of spotted deer, moose, roes and hares is banned.
Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Violeta Ivanov said that the ban is necessary because the density of some species of animals in Moldova is low.
The following limits have been set for hunting in Moldova: 52,190 pigeons, 42,190 bald coots, ducks and hazel grouses, 4,750 quails, 2,580 migratory ducks and 6,235 pheasants.
The quota on boars will be announced by October 1.
