The executive director of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Moldova Teo Carnat in a news conference on December 7 said that an alliance between the PDM and PCRM is absurd, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Does the electoral platform of the PDM tell the voters that it will form an alliance with the PCRM? It is an absurdity. Does it say that the PDM will set Moldova's development course for the Commonwealth of Independent States? It is an absurdity. Does it say that there will be created the Russia-Belarus-Moldova customs union? It is an absurdity,” said Teo Carnat. The people did not mandate the PDM to implement its program together with the PCRM. If this coalition is formed, the supporters of the PDM will be bitterly disappointed, the executive director of the Helsinki Committee stated. According to him, the head of the Russian presidential administration Sergey Naryshkin did not have the constitutional right to discuss with the parties that want to form an alliance. “I think this is direct interference in Moldova's internal affairs. The people empowered no political party to discuss with representatives of foreign states what coalition to create,” said Teo Carnat. He also said that the Alliance for European Integration has the right to exist and continue its work as during a year it ensured cooperation between the authorities and civil society. While it had been in power, there was diversity of opinions, freedom of expression, free press and different TV channels available. During eight years, the Communist government implemented the CIS standards that teach only how to use torture, fear and manipulation. On April 7, 2009, the people let their feelings out. He urged the political leaders to fulfill their promises and stressed the necessity of convening Parliament and naming the President and the Prime Minister by December 28.
