Tennis player Radu Albot wins first tournament in 2012

Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot has won his first trophy this year in a Futures tournament in Turkey, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the competition’s final, Radu Albot beat Russia’s Alexandr Lobkov 7-6, 6-3. The 22-year-old athlete also competed in the doubles final, where together with Andrei Ciumac lost to Belgium’s Joris de Loore and Yannik Reuter. The victory in this tournament in Turkey brought Albot 18 points in the world rankings. Currently, Albot is the best ranked Moldovan tennis player – 246th in the ATP rankings. The rankings published on February 27 also include Roman Borvanov (268th), Andrei Ciumac (703rd), Andrei Gorban (844th), Maxim Dubarenko (1,105th), and Roman Tudoreanu (1,899th).
