At the request of the Mayor of the capital, the Botanica District Head's Office will organize a meeting with the tenants of the block 28 on Dacia Avenue, who protested against the construction of a pizzeria under their windows, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“Opinions are divided and we must find a way to move forward. It’s a sensitive topic and it must be solved by communicating with the tenants. Until we reach a consensus, the construction works will be suspended”, declared Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca during the City Hall's ordinary meeting.
Deputy Mayor Nistor Grozavu said that the General Urban Planning since 1989 didn’t stipulate such a building. However, the document was only a strategic one, drawing the general guidelines for the development of newly-exploited lands. Today’s more detailed documentation includes this building.
Last week, a group of tenants of block 28 on Dacia Avenue requested the Mayor’s intervention to stop the construction of a pizzeria on the land adjacent to their block. The Mayor explained to them that the land was allotted in 2003 and the company confirmed its economic rights by winning a lawsuit at the Supreme Court of Justice in 2007.
