Two women were sentenced to 10 years in prison each for trafficking in human beings, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the General Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the quoted source, the sentence was passed by the Cantemir District Court after the prosecutors proved that the two women deceived a girl into going to Turkey, telling her she will work in a clothes shop there for a salary of $800.
“At the place of destination, the young woman was forced into prostituting herself, while one of the women had profit for every client of the victim,” the General Prosecutor’s Office says in a communiqué.
