A man died while another ten persons were rushed to the hospital after a serious collision between a minibus transporting factory workers and a car, which occurred near Cojușna village of Strășeni district on Thursday, IPN reports.
Seven persons were taken to the Strășeni District Hospital. The institution’s vice director Elena Vataman has told IPN that the patients who suffered different associated traumas were admitted to the trauma surgery unit. Two persons are in a serious state, while the others suffered medium severity injuries. The patients are receiving the necessary treatment.
Another three persons were transported to the Emergency Medicine Institute. Contacted by IPN for details, the Institute’s spokeswoman Dorina Arsene said that the condition of two of the patients is medium grave, but stable. The third person went home after receiving recommendations and is under the supervision of the family doctor.
As a result of the impact, the minibus turned upside down, while the car was projected into the roadside drainage channel. A 60-year-old occupant of the minibus died on the spot. According to the police, none of the drivers was inebriated.
The circumstances of the accident and a preliminary version haven’t beam yet made public.
