Ten persons are suspected of stealing goods to the value of over 10 million lei from a number of Chisinau apartments, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Adrian Jovmir said in a press briefing on August 4, quoted by IPN.
According to the police, the ten are residents of Comrat and Ceadir-Lunga districts. These broke mainly safes. “They chose impressive houses and broke in when the owners were away. They needed seconds to take the safe out of the house. Afterward, they drove away from the capital city,” stated Adrian Jovmir.
The group was discovered after patrolling inspectors a week ago caught four men in the act of taking a POS terminal out of a shop in Buiucani district of Chisinau.
The suspects face seven to ten years behind bars.
