The temperatures are expected to drop to -20°C the coming days. Weather forecasters issued a yellow cede advisory for the period between the evening of January 25 and January 27.
According to the State Hydrometeorology Service, it will snow temporarily, while in the southern districts heavily in parts. Snowdrifts will form locally. There will be ice on the roads.
On January 25, nighttime temperatures in northern Moldova will fall to -20°C. During the day the temperatures will vary between -11°C and -6°C. Next week the weather will grow warmer. In the middle of the week there will be 0°C.
