Meteorologists forecast very good weather on Christmas Day. On December 25, the air temperature will climb to +14°C during the day and will vary between +2°C and +7°C at night.
Contacted by IPN for details, the head of the Meteorological Forecasting Division Gennady Roșca said that such temperatures are not typical for this time of year. “We should have negative temperatures at night and slightly above the limit of 0°C during the day,” he stated.
At the end of this week, on December 22-24, rainfall is possible, even sleet, but there will be no precipitation on Christmas. After December 25, high temperatures will persist for two more days, with highs of up to 10°C during the day.
High temperatures on the territory of Moldova are influenced by air masses of African origin.
Highs of +14°C at Christmas were also recorded in 2010.
