An 18-year-old boy who lost both his hands in an ugly work accident needs any help that can be given. The accident occurred on February 14 in a remote Moldovan village. A hay-baling machine mutilated the boy’s body, tearing off both his hands from the shoulders. For several days now, the eyes of his parents and of those who love and know Vasile Moraru – a very kind and spirited young man – have been wet with tears. Vasile wanted to earn some money and decided to help mechanics after school. He had big future plans, he dreamed of going to university. The boy’s parents, school fellows, his teachers and the village administration appeal for help to people with great hearts from Moldova and abroad, hoping they will be heard by businessmen, governmental and non-governmental organisations, Moldovan citizens living or working abroad. Vasile Moraru’s family and friends hope to collect the necessary amount of money that would make it possible for him to receive the qualified medical treatment abroad. The cost of a prosthesis that could replace his hands is huge. Donations can be transferred to the accounts opened by Vasile Moraru’s mother, Valentina Moraru, at the Savings Bank, branch no. 1, Chisinau, bank’s fiscal code: 1003600002549, MFO BECOMD2X609.
