A 13-year-old girl who was disabled died after a fire broke out in a house where she had been left alone, the Emergencies Inspectorate reported.
The fire took place at a rural household in Soldanesti district. Four firefighting and rescue crews were deployed to the scene, but it was too late for the girl to be saved.
An investigation was started into the case.
Since the beginning of the year, over one thousand fires resulting in 63 civilian deaths, including 3 children, have been reported in Moldova.
