Teen dies from electrocution after climbing electricity post

A 17-year-old was electrocuted to death after he went up an electricity post. The accident occurred in Mihailovca village, Cimislia district.
According to the Communication Department of Union Fenosa Company, it is not known yet why the teenager climbed the post. He did not use means of protection and had no tools.
An investigation commission established that in the morning of that day the noise produced by electrocution drew the attention of a person passing nearby, who gave first aid and called an ambulance. The young man could not be saved however. According to eyewitnesses, the victim was accompanied by two other teens that ran away.
Union Fenosa warns the population that the electrical installations pose a permanent danger to people’s life. No activities or manipulations involving electrical equipment are allowed around the high tension installations. People are asked to observe the protection rules against electrocution and to warn the children about the danger.
