Technical overhaul of private units of transport starts in Chisinau

The private means of transport in Chisinau will start being examined on April 20. About 1,700 minibuses running on routes and several thousands of private cars will be checked overall, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the head of the General Public Transport and Communications Division Veaceslav Tarna, the minibuses will be examined during one week. “The overhaul will be carried out at nine service stations and will involve employees of the Traffic Police,” Veaceslav Tarna said at Monday's meeting of the Chisinau City Hall. The General Public Transport and Communications Division will examine the motor vehicles, while the police will check drivers' documents. The minibuses that transport passengers are obliged to undergo the overhaul starting with April 20, while the small vehicles can do it at any time.
