Tear gas explosives have been launched in front of the Parliament's building at 14.30, causing loud noises. The protesters took off the door of the Presidency's building and set it on fire in front of the Parliament, Info-Prim Neo reports. After altercations between the protesters and the police, scores got injured, most of them being policemen. Rumors run that a policeman would have died, but neither the Interior Ministry, nor the Ambulance Service have confirmed the rumor. When asked by Info-Prim Neo, the Interior Ministry's spokeswoman, Ala Meleca, has said sufficient police have been deployed to the riots to maintain the public order and to maintain the situation under control. “All the special means under law are being used: rubber bats, water canons and tear gases,” said Ala Meleca. She has avoided to specify the number of the police deployed.
