Teams of doctors will go to education intuitions in the municipality of Chisinau to communicate with teachers and ancillary personnel and to offer them the possibility of getting a vaccine at the workplace. A decision to this effect was taken by the extraordinary public health commission of Chisinau municipality, IPN reports.

According to mayor general Ion Ceban, about 80% of the teachers of the schools of Chisinau have been vaccinated by now. Insistent discussions on this opportunity will be held with the other 20%. Those who consider they have contraindications will discuss with doctors and special commissions will be constituted for the purpose.

At the first stage, the Chisinau City Hall will allocate funds for testing school employees when necessary. The commission also explored the possibility of receiving donations of tests for this category, from the assistance provided by the Government of Romania, partners or business entities. “Under the Labor Code, there are no legal reasons for penalizing, one way or another, the employees who refuse to get a vaccine or who do not present the test results,” Ion Ceban posted on Facebook.

Also, the commission determined that it is not within the remit of the City Hall to ban the organization of events on the territory of the municipality of Chisinau. A state of emergency when such a decision can be taken wasn’t declared. The extraordinary public health commission of Chisinau cannot take such decisions either.
