The teachers will be paid compensation for covering the travel expenses if they come to work from another locality and travel over 2 km from their place of residence, IPN reports.
The Cabinet on September 5 decided that the small secondary schools will not be closed. The schools that will be attended by fewer than 91 students will work as branches managed by the education institutions with a sufficient number of students.
Minister of Education, Culture and Research Monica Babuc said the reform will enable to rationalize the costs of mainlining the institutions and of more efficiently using the finical resources.
