Teachers celebrate today, October 5, the Professional Day of Educators. On this occasion, a concert will take place at the “Nicolae Sulac” National Palace at 2:00 pm, to which faculty from throughout the country were invited, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Ministry of Education, part of the concert will be dedicated to awarding the best teachers. The winners will receive a 50,000 lei prize and an advancement in their didactic degree. Additionally, diplomas will be given out for special merits. The country’s leadership is expected to attend the event.
Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Chisinau's Education Division head Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb stated that the capital’s teachers will be involved in various activities within the institutions they work at. Each institution decides what activity to undertake. Many institutions engage in the practice where the best students act as teachers, whereas the teachers attend their classes.
The Municipality planned another concert to mark the Teacher's Day, which was supposed to have the Romanian “Holograf ” band as headliners, but the concert was canceled due to the lead vocalist’s health issues.
