The teachers who work at primary and secondary schools, lyceums and other general public education institutions and the kindergarten educators will receive a one-time allowance of 2,000 lei as of 2019, IPN reports, with reference to a Government decision.
The money could be used to purchase teaching aids, computation equipment, software for use in online teaching activities and for professional development.
“This is a step, maybe not the most important one, by which we offer these finances so as to ease the life of teachers. This is a significant move as it comes before the Teacher’s Day,” stated Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
