The municipal councilors voted to allocate a lump-sum of 500 lei in assistance to teachers in Chisinau. A sum of 4.2 million lei will be transferred from the municipal budget for the purpose. The beneficiaries will be over 6,000 teachers from primary and secondary education institutions, IPN reports.
In the same meeting, the municipal councilors decided to allocate 3.1 million lei for issuing free season tickets for traveling by public transport to family doctors and their assistants and to specialists of the Primary Assistance University Clinic. The season tickets will be issued as of July until the end of the year.
Explaining the opportunity of the decision, municipal councilor Ala Nemerenko said the doctors go to patients’ homes and have to change several units of transport sometimes. “We speak about labor efficiency. They should not spend three hours on a case,” she stated.
The CMC also approved a monthly transport allowance of 70 lei for teachers and educators for September –December 2018. “The financing will be strict and we will allocate money for the number of recipients that will be determined by the competent institutions,” stated Eugenia Ciumac, head of the Financial Management Division.
