A teacher from Balti is accused of passive corruption. He is suspected of taking 2,100 lei from the leader of a group of first-year students of the Polytechnic College, Info-Prim Neo reports. The money marked ‘bribe’ was found in the teacher’s personal car. He asked the money for helping the students pass the math exam. According to the person who reported the case to the police, the 2,100 lei was gathered from 21 students. A criminal case was opened against the teacher over passive corruption. The anticorruption prosecutors also started a legal case over traffic of influence against the person who acted as an intermediary between the teacher and the students – the leader of the group. The girl said she has influence on teachers of the Polytechnic College and can convince them to give good grades to the students. The girl is under age.
