The persons infected with TB that will shrink from receiving treatment or will not observe the prescribed regime risk being fined 200 to 500 lei after the new Code of Administrative Offences take effects on May 31, Info-Prim Neo reports. The persons that reveal confidential information about the medical tests for AIDS are liable to a fine ranging from 100 to 140 lei. The theft of blood and blood derivates and their unintentional alteration will be punished with fine from 200 to 400 lei. The use of donated blood, blood derivatives and preparations from blood for making profit will be punished with fine from 400 to 800 lei or 40 to 60 hours of community service. Also, the persons that will try to illegally take donated blood out of the country are liable to fines varying between 800 and 1,200 lei or 40 to 60 hours of community service. Under the new Code, the culprit can pay half of the fine if the fine is paid within 72 hours of the moment it is imposed. If the individual did not pay the fine during 30 days, the court can replace the penalty with double fine, community service or arrest or deprive the person of the right to carry out certain activities.
