The Consumer Protection Agency warns the people that the tariffs for taxi services were raised illegally and unjustifiably during the winter holidays. It recommends the travellers to be prudent and to inform themselves so as to prevent possible abuses on the part of service providers, IPN reports.
When clients identify abuses on the part of taxi drivers, including the refusal to issue the receipt or inappropriate behavior, they can seek help from patrolling inspectors or call 902.
It should be noted that the motor vehicles used as taxies must be of the color decided by each carrier apart and must have the taxi tariffs indicated on them in letters visible from a distance. Outside, the car must have a yellow taxi lamp with the word TAXI in front and on the back, which is lit during the working hours.
