Taxi involved in traffic accident

A taxi driver and his passengers have been injured after the vehicle crashed into another car. Anatol Proca, manager-doctor of the Emergency Service, told Info-Prim Neo the accident happened Friday, July 23, near the South Station on Hancesti Highway. The 20-year-old driver of a Daewoo-Nexia Taxi 1448 injured his left arm and forearm, after colliding with a Rover. His passengers, a 24-year-old woman and her baby, 1year and 8 months of age, suffered brain concussions. The mother remained at the Emergency Hospital, while her baby was taken to Mother’s and Child’s Healthcare Center. A 21-year-old woman called the doctors because of right foot pains. She told them she had been hit by a black car on Stefan cel Mare Avenue. Another woman, aged 48 and suffering of chronic alcoholism, called the ambulance as well. She complained of knee pains and said she had been hit by a vehicle 2 days ago. During the weekend, the Chisinau Emergency Service dealt with 80 trauma cases.
