Taxi driver suspected of sexually exploiting underage girl

A Chisinau taxi driver was arrested on suspicion that he sexually exploited a 15-year-old girl, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the General Police Commissariat. The 21-year-old driver was arrested in Chisinau’s Centru district after he brought the victim to the apartment of a client for providing sexual services. According to the preliminary findings, the taxi driver profited from the precarious financial situation of the girl and convinced her to prostitute herself a month ago. The police presume that the young man recruited two more underage girls for the purpose. The taxi driver is prosecuted for trafficking in children and faces 10 to 15 years in prison.
