Taxi causes passenger minibus to overturn

A minibus carrying passengers on route 129 in Chisinau overturned when a taxicab struck it violently today at around 7:40 a.m. in the intersection of the streets Kogalniceanau and Sfatul Tarii. Five persons suffered injuries, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Anatol Proca, coordinating doctor at the Emergency Service, a 55-year-old male passenger was taken to the hospital with finger fractures, while his wife injured her back, and his daughter suffered brain concussion. Two other women, 29 and 30 years, were hospitalized with brain concussion, hematomas and soft tissue contusions. People in the neighborhood say this intersection is infamous for the frequency with which traffic accidents occur here.
