Taxes on environment polluting products modified

The Government endorsed modifications to the Law on payments for polluting environment, on Tuesday, Info-Prim Neo reports. A new notion “ecologic declaration” was introduced. This document will contain data about levying payments for polluting the environment in importing products. The Cabinet has also modified the list of products polluting the environment and the payments for importing those. Importing rubber will be levied 0.5%, the tobacco products – 1%, the dyes – 3%, plastic pipes and glass fibers – 1.5%, lead – 2%, etc. The payments will go to the Ecologic Fund to carry out environment protection projects.
