The deadline for submitting income statements is March 31. The private individuals who last year earned taxable incomes in the form of salaries of over 25,200 lei must present tax returns to the local tax inspectorates, except for those who have only one job, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The persons who are not employed, but who earned incomes higher than the personal exemptions of 8,640 lei and those who intend to change the permanent domicile from Moldova to another country must also submit income statements.
Maia Tverdohleb, of the Main State Tax Inspectorate, said the profit made abroad from the sale of property or other transactions must also be declared. “It is important that the tax payers comply voluntarily and pay the tax on incomes,” she stated.
The remittances received from relatives who work abroad are not taxed and shouldn’t be declared as they are taxed in the country where they were earned.
Viorel Bolocan, of the state fiscal information service Fiscservinform, said the income statement CET08 can be submitted on paper to the local tax office or by the e-reporting service. “For a private individual from Moldova to be able to use this service, they should register on the portal www.servicii.fisc.md and then go with the identity card and a copy of it to 162 Stefan cel Mare Blvd. to obtain a fiscal authentication signature and to sign the connection contract. The authentication signature is provided gratis for a period of five years,” he stated.
The form of the income statement CET08 is available on the website of the State Tax Service.
