The tax payers’ debts towards the state social insurance Fund amount to about 50 mln lei at present, director of the State National House of Social Health Insurance (CNASS), Maria Borta, stated Wednesday November 1, at the Government meeting. According to her, in ten months of the current year, the incomes of the state social insurance Fund totaled to 98.4 % compared to the planned sums. The social insurance contributions came to 2.8 bln lei, what is 98,5% of the planned amount, or by 558.7 mln lei more than the accumulations registered in the same period of last year. The transfers from the State Budget were performed according to the planned volumes of 553 mln lei and have increased compared to the same period of last year by 115.3 mln lei. Another 24.7 mln lei were regained from interest rates and other incomes, increasing by 32% against the planned sum. Thus, on November 1, the incomes of the state social insurance funds totaled to 674.4 mln lei compared to the proceeds registered in the same period of last year. At the same time, the expenses from the social insurance Funds comprised 3.6 bln lei or 97.4% of the planned sums. The expenses exceeded the index registered during ten months of the last year by 632.4 mln lei. Premier Vasile Tarlev voiced his dissatisfaction with the increased volume of the uncollected money. According to him, the Government will continue to make efforts in supporting national producers, but it will not tolerate arrears in the Social Fund. Premier asked for a plan of actions from the CNASS leadership and social partners – Trade Unions and Patronages – to diminish the black economy and “salary in the envelope”. “There are branches where such problems still persist”, said Tarlev, mentioning first of all the trade, and constructions as well.
