The police arrested an employee of the State Main Tax Inspectorate for asking US$500 from a company for not creating obstacles to it to selling the merchandise. The inspector received 10,000 lei under the control of the National Anticorruption Center for removing the tax post installed at this economic entity, IPN reports.
According to the Center, the functionary was caught red-handed. He faces up to ten years in jail and a fine of up to 60,000 lei. He will also be banned from holding particular posts for a period of two to five years.
