Tax for running casinos expected to treble

The commission on social protection, health and family will propose that the Parliament treble the tax for managing casinos, Info-Prim Neo reports. The proposal was put forward during discussions, within the commission, on the bill with amendments to the law on the licensing of entrepreneurial activities, which was submitted by the commission on economy, budget and finance's head Veaceslav Ionita. The author suggests doubling the license fee from 180,000 to 360,000 lei. Last year, the license fee was halved, but it was established that the social effect of the reduction was minimum in comparison with the effect on the budget.
