Tatiana Lapicus is the new permanent representative of Moldova to UN

Tatiana Lapicus will be the new ambassador, standing representative of Moldova to the office of the United Nations in Geneva. The decision was made on Wednesday, August 22 by the Cabinet. Subsequently, President Vladimir Voronin has to sign a decree in this regard. Tatiana Lapicus was the deputy-minister of Culture and Tourism. Previously she was the Director of the Department for the Development of Tourism. Also on Wednesday, the Government appointed Gheorghe Munteanu as General Consul of Moldova to Bologna, Italy. Previously, Gheorghe Munteanu was the head of the Department of Consular Affairs within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
