The actions that will take place in the Old Fortress of the Wallachian voivodship aim at presenting the achievements of Moldova in different fields. The representatives of Chisinau to Targoviste are the writers, editors, artistic troops and companies, as well as civil servants from the City Hall. The decision on celebrating the days of these cities belongs to the Mayoralty of Targoviste, which decided to host in 2006 the Days of Chisinau, and in 2007 to present the best of it in the capital city of the Republic of Moldova. While visiting Chisinau’s Temple Day, the mayor of Targoviste, Iulian Furcoiu declared that the Days of Chisinau in Targoviste followed by the Days of Targoviste in Chisinau are a part of both mayoralties’ ample plan. “Those 33 Basarab descendent rulers of the Romanian Country, from Mircea cel Batran till the martyr ruler Constantin Brancoveanu, watch over their followers if they work for the people”, Furcoiu declared. Targoviste is the residence and the biggest town of Dambovita county. It has a population of over 110 thousand inhabitants. The town was during three centuries (1396 and 1714) the most important economic, political-military and cultural-artistic center of the Romanian Country.
