A man living in Taraclia town was killed cruelly at his workplace. Several hours after the crime was committed, the police arrested the main suspect – a young man with criminal record, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the press service of the Ministry of the Interior. The incident happened on January 31 in the evening. The body of the man with signs of violent death was found on the parking lot of a Taraclia company. The man aged 53 had worked as guard at this company for over 10 years. According to the police, the guard was beaten to death with a spade handle. The suspect is a resident of Taraclia aged 22. He was earlier tried for theft. Interrogated by the police, he admitted to committing the murder. That evening, the man came to the parking garage where, as he said, he worked earlier and was not paid the salary. He entered the house of the guard and drank several glasses of wine with him. Then he went out and saw a Volga car that wasn’t locked and stole the stereo worth 1,000 lei. The guard also came out and saw him stealing the stereo. For fear of not being reported to the police, the young man beat the guard to death. The body was discovered by a driver who came to park his car. If found guilty of intentional murder, the young man could serve a jail sentence of 20 to 25 years or even be imprisoned for life.
