The actors of the Romanian animation theater “Tandarica” made a donation of 30,000 lei for modernizing the Chisinau Mother and Child Institute within the fundraising campaign “Revive Moldova”. The proceeds obtained at two benefit performances presented in Chisinau last week will also be transferred to the Institute, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the project “Revive Moldova”.
The actors of “Tandarica”, who put on “The nanny goat and her three kids” in Chisinau two times, visited the maternity hospital for which money is collected within the social project “Revive Moldova”. “The children are the future of any country. They are like a jewel that must be looked after and appreciated,” actress Ileana Gavrilescu said when visiting the Institute.
Actor Cristian Mitescu noted the actors are glad that they can do something for the children and the mothers. “The kids we saw here impressed us. It is evident that money is needed to improve the conditions for patients. “Revive Moldova” is a good idea and we heard many nice things about this project,” he stated.
The two performances were presented at the National Philharmonic “Sergey Lunkevich” in Chisinau on May 24. The proceeds of 146,400 lei will be transferred to the Institute the coming days.
Since the campaign “Revive Moldova was launched in April, a number of personalities from the country and abroad have made donations to the Mother and Child Institute. A sum of 2.5 million lei has been collected so far.
