The Ministry of Education and Research is to distribute 350 tablets to nine Romanian-language schools in the Transnistrian region and those in the perimeter of the Security Zone. The Commission for Exceptional Situations issued an order to this effect, IPN reports.
The CSE also ordered the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations to access the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism instruments to request international assistance. 72 generators are to be delivered to educational and social institutions in localities vulnerable to the risks of the disruption of electricity and natural gas supplies.
Also, to support businesses and communities in these regions, the Government has set up a mechanism for partial compensation of electricity price differentials. The measure is aimed at mitigating the financial impact on institutions and the population as a result of increases in regulated energy prices.
"Chisinau reaffirms that it will continue to adopt concrete measures and interventions for the benefit of citizens in this perimeter and expresses its openness to receive requests that include lists of assistance needs, in order to overcome the current crisis and ensure a decent living for all affected citizens," the Reintegration Policy Office said.
